Volunteer Tutoring ProgramThis program matches one adult student with one adult tutor. Volunteers may choose to work either with an adult who needs literacy instruction or with non-English speakers who want to learn to read and speak English. Contact us now to learn how you can help in the following areas: Special Events Volunteer: RWALP sponsors special events and fundraisers throughout the year that need extra volunteers. Community Education Services: RWALP works with organizations in the Torrance County area to educate members on literacy issues that affect the community. Volunteer to speak to local groups. Staff Support: Assist staff with data entry, special events and fundraising. Tutor Training: Put your adult education skills to work by helping our training specialists teach incoming tutors. Tutor Recruitment: Talk to friends about tutoring opportunities at RWALP. Marketing and Public Relations: Write articles for the News You Can Use Newsletter or the RWALP Blog, or assist with social media activities. Creative Talent: Volunteer your creative talent in graphic arts, photography, video and copy writing.
